Chilli chicken gravy recipe

For marinating the chicken
- 500 gm Chicken cut into small cubes
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Pepper powder
- 1 tsp Chilli powder(optional)
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- 2 tbsp maida
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- Salt to taste
For making the chilli chicken gravy:
- ¼ cup Capsicum cut into square pieces
- ¼ cup Onion cut into square pieces
- 1 tbsp Pepper powder
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 4 to 5 no's green chilli chopped
- 7 no's garlic finely chopped
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- Salt to taste
Take the boneless chicken in a mixing bowl and to it add soya sauce, vinegar,tomato sauce pepper powder, chili powder, egg, corn flour, maida and salt. Marinate it for 30 mins.
Take a kadai and heat the oil. Deep fry the chicken pieces and drain of on the kitchen tissue.
Take another pan and heat oil on high flame .To it add chopped garlic and saute for 2 mins. Next add onion, green chili and capsicum and saute for another 2 mins.
Next add soya sauce,tomato sauce and chili sauce.Also add chili powder and pepper powder and saute for 5 mins.
Take a 1 cup water and to it add corn flour make a syrup.Lower the flame and add this mixture to it.
Keep on stirring on low flame until it boils. Next add the fried chicken to the mixture.
Saute it for 2 mins and switch off the flame. You can add a little bit of pepper if you want more spicy gravy. Adjust the sauces according to you taste.
Transfer it to a serving bowl and sprinkle some spring onion. Your Homemade Chilli Chicken Gravy Recipe is ready. Serve hot with fried rice or chapathi.
- Usually everybody uses food color for bright red color but I dont prefer it. You can use kashmiri chilli powder or paprika for vibrant color.
- Don’t over fry the chicken this makes it very hard.
- Marinating the chicken for 2 hours or overnight makes the chicken more juicer and tasty.
- Be careful while adding corn flour .Lumps will formed if added on high flame, so always add the mixture at low flame and keep on stirring.
- You can add also chilli sauce if you want more spice.
