I use minimal Ingredients for this Easy Shredded Chicken Recipe like Fennel Seeds ,green chillies, onion,tomato and coriander leaves . Usually Shredded Chicken Recipes are purely continental style recipes like Chicken Tacos, Chicken Tostadas, Chicken Burritos or chickens sandwiches but my recipe has an Indian twist.

Ingredients
- 6 Boneless Chicken Breast: Bone in chicken can be used but I prefer boneless since it is easy to shred.
- Spices: Fennel seeds which is the key flavoring agent.
- Onions: 2 big one (diced).
- Green Chillies:7 to 8 .
- Tomato:1 big chopped small.
- Coriander Leaves: 1 cup roughly chopped.
- Turmeric Powder
- Pepper Powder: Optional -only if you want to add more spice.
- Salt
How to make shredded chicken?
While there are a variety of different methods to cook chicken for shredding or dicing, poaching (gently cooking the chicken in water) is the one I’ve found to be the quickest and easiest, with the smallest amount of clean up. You don’t need any equipment other than a pot to make it. Lets see the step by step procedure:
Step One: Place boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs) in the bottom of a large kadai or pot, then add turmeric powder ,salt and water. Boil for 10 mins till the chicken is cooked.

Step 2: Remove the breasts to a large bowl or plate first.Then, use two forks or a hand mixer to shred the chicken really easily.

Step 3: Take a pan heat 2 tbsp of oil. Add Onion and saute it for 10 mins. Next add green chillies and fennel seeds.

Step 4: Next add the shredded chicken and saute the chicken in low flame till the chicken becomes golden brown.

Step 5: Next add tomatoes and coriander leaves and saute it for another 5 mins.

Step 6: Put off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl. Your Easy Shredded Chicken recipe is ready. Serve hot with chapatis or use it as fillings for sandwiches.

- 1 cup coriander leaves (chopped roughly)
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder

- 1 tsp Pepper(Optional)
- Salt to taste

Notes
- You can add pepper powder if you want more spice.
- You can shred the chicken simply using your hands if you dont have a mixer.
